In a former life I’ve studied & worked as a geologist. I’m a mum of two boys currently 7 & 11 years. After my second was born I discovered the local Pilates studio. I loved it! The rest is history.

I undertook the Polestar Pilates Mat course, followed by Reformer, with the intention of rounding it off with the Studio course which I recently completed.

Pilates practice and teaching has become a journey of rediscovering who I am as a women beyond motherhood. I enjoy sharing and experiencing other people’s successes and how movement positively impacts their lives.

My favourite way to Re-Vive is catching to with my girlfriends. I always feel revived after a good chat and some laughs.

Movement has always brought me joy. From a young age, I immersed myself in dance, which sparked my lifelong love of expressing myself through movement.

I approach health and wellness holistically, combining my Bachelor of Nutrition Science degree with qualification as a Polestar Studio Pilates Instructor. I am passionate about helping others feel their best, both physically and mentally. Teaching Pilates allows me to connect deeply with people, and I feel truly energised when engaging with clients. My goal is to share my love of Pilates and inspire others to feel their best through movement.

What RE-VIVES Kayla?

Walking outdoors, in the kitchen baking, spending time at the beach or moving my body at the gym.

With 25 years of experience as a high school PDHPE teacher, I’ve always been passionate about helping others move well and feel their best. After exploring countless movement styles as an adult that never quite suited my body, I discovered Pilates—a practice that helped me feel strong, mobile, and free from impingement. I fell in love with its holistic nature and the thoughtful principles behind every movement, which inspired me to train as an instructor.

Now, I’m committed to sharing the benefits of Pilates with others, creating a supportive space where people can reconnect with their bodies. When I’m not teaching or spending time with my family, you’ll often find me tucked away in my craft space, happily sewing and making creative bits and pieces. Family, pilates and craft are my re-vival tonic.
